What Happens If It Rains on Your Party Day?

You booked a bounce house for Saturday and the forecast just turned. This is North Texas, so it happens constantly. Here is exactly what we do, so you are not guessing.

We do not cancel on a small chance of rain

A 30 percent chance of scattered afternoon showers is a normal Texas weekend and is not a reason to call off a party. Light rain on a bounce house is not dangerous, it is just wet. Kids frankly do not care. Most of the time we set up as planned and the party goes fine.

What actually stops a rental

• Sustained wind above roughly 15 to 20 miles per hour
• Lightning anywhere in the area
• Heavy, steady rain rather than passing showers
• Any condition we judge unsafe to set up in or leave running

Wind is the one that shuts things down most often. An inflatable is a large sail. That is why we anchor everything, and it is also why we will not leave a unit up in real wind, staked or not.

You can reschedule at no charge

If severe weather hits your date, you can move your rental to another date at no additional cost, subject to what is available. We do not charge a rescheduling fee for weather. Just call or text us as early as you can, because the earlier we know, the more likely your first choice of a new date is still open.

What we do not do is refund money

All payments are non-refundable, including for weather. What you get instead is a rain check credit for the full amount you paid, good for 12 months from your original event date. You can use it on any rental with us during that year. That is the same policy whether you cancel because of weather or for any other reason.

We know that is less flexible than a refund. It is also what lets us hold a unit off the calendar for you for weeks at a time without charging more up front.

When to make the call

The morning of your event, look at the radar with us. Call or text (682) 202-5624 and we will tell you honestly what we are seeing and what we recommend. Sometimes the answer is to shift the party a few hours. Sometimes it is to set up dry instead of wet. Sometimes it is to move to next weekend.

If weather turns mid-party

Get everyone out of the unit and turn off the blower if wind or lightning shows up after we have left. Do not try to move or take down the inflatable yourself. Call us and we will come get it. Your safety matters more than our equipment.
